OPEN - non-payout scandal

Post by cool »

There are two type of machines - cuttin' edge INDEGO'S and the attractive multi play fruit machines that accompany them and cuttin' two. these are the OPENS that should be cuttin two and chucked in a skip. I have numerous non payouts on these spawn of satans-when you win small amounts no problem when you win larger amounts it states you have won then refuses to transfer the credit over and disappears along with the game youve been playing.Has anybody else experienced the same problem? Are the makers of the machine aware of the inadequacies of their machine or are they a load of Fat Spanners? Perhaps you would consider joining the OPEN fan club- 1 existing member Dave of the White Swan.

Sounds very similar to something I've seen.

Why? You can delete your own posts if you want...

Only problem I've had with Open machines is when playing the original Blockbusters... got to the Gold Run and got all the way across to double my prize whereupon it froze and had to be reset (my winnings obviously disappeared)

I was in there only yesterday. I thought the machine was being rather parsimonious ... and now I know why!

Don't know why I bother sometimes.

I just post my experience of my OPEN machine on here both good and bad.

Mine has crashed a few games (notably Pub Quiz) but I removed that game from the selection screen.

Not had any non payout issues - but if I ever do I will just pay it out myself.

I believe that you would, however if a punter came up to you who you didnt know and said he'd won £20 on a game only to have the credits disappear(without you witnessing it) would you pay them out. Ive never got one penny out of a supplier after a check by a machine supplier as to where the credit has gone.Im not blaming you or the machine supplier , but the machine manufacturer who should be held to account. Ignorance isnt a defence. If I was driving round with a defective headlight-its not a defence to say I didnt know about it.They will not be able to claim ignorance as a defence as apart from posting on this site I have E-mailed them and will be speaking to the Gaming Board. Its simply not on.

I have actually spoken to Fat Spanner who seem decent enough people and are looking at my concerns as a matter of urgency. There is nothing that losing lots of money gets the conspiracy theories in me working and if the matter is resolved I will post accordingly. It sounds that they genuinely didnt know and will try to fix the programme.

Probably a matter of different games, but for what it's worth I've never had this problem despite various JPs and a few £50+ payout on the few London Opens I know. Would hope this isn't a defensive mechanism as that would really be pretty lousy.
