How many people play online? if so what game?
Had 1 for about 6 months now but not yet joined the online side of gaming yet. I think the wife is getting me a hard drive for xmas so should be starting up then. I imagine COD5 will be the game to play.

I've had my 360 for over a year and still haven't gone 'live', and I had a free 1 month Gold subscription.
The reason being the ethernet cable is about an inch long so I have to move the 360 half way across the lounge to connect it to my router. Maybe one day I'll purchase a Wireless Network Adaptor, but I find the £54.99 price a wee bit steep.
As for what will be the most popular online game for the next couple of months, it will probably Gears of War 2, Far Cry 2, the new Call of Duty and more than likely COD4. (Still!!)

I have 2 360s, one for the kids to trash upstairs and my spanking elite downsatirs. I was a massive pro evo player until I had a serious accident last March.
Pro Evo and COD are def up there as being the most played games. The online platform is fantastic and its this that sets the 360 apart from all its rivals. Online play makes the games far more addictive that sole play.
Time to get involved if anyone is considering it given the recent console price reductions and the fact that the games are getting cheaper.

My Elite is rather pretty too......even though it has already had cosmetic surgery (RROD).
If anybody is interested in 'just' dipping their toes in the online ocean, Zavvi has an offer of...buy any 360 chart game and get 3 months of Xbox Live for half price (£7.49).....I know a years worth of XBL retails for £39.99 rrp, but it saves you a bit of money if it turns out you don't like it - not everybody does.

Coincidentally just finished an hour on pes2008, I was dubios regarding xbox live but its very very good so much more fun playing against people than the comp.
I got my subscription from a guy on the net, I googled it 13months for 20 odd quid he just sends you the code via email.
Its honestly a bargain buying the subscription, worth every penny!

Agreed, its great value. Even if you pay full whack (£39.99, the price of a game) it works out at around 11p per day. No doubt PS3 owners will argue the toss about PSN being totally free.
I really am missing out on the machines full potential, aren't I?
Do you come across any of those stupid Yank(ers) from across the pond joe, and are they as much of a nuisance as I am led to believe?

Well some are idiots, I came across a few when I first started playing online with gta.
I personally dont use the headset when im playing so you dont notice as much if they are prats.
But for example I bought PES on the day of release have played it nearly every day since but only had one game on it thats not on Xbox live!
This is where I got mine from works fine very good feedback etc:
