my vote- the trail for it lasted longer than the length of time it was on the Itbox. Step forward the not so Fantastic Four.

What happened to that alien game which appeared on gamesnets at the same time as In it to win it, only lasted about a week ?

It has to be the recent Monopoly incarnations followed in second place by the new Cluedo.

Toss The Monkey and Quiz City are good suggestions here. For me, Monopoly is a league above both of those and let us not forget that it is very popular with Joe Public (and there's also an occasional decent knock to make it worth a decent player investing 50p, in my view).

I think the description "great looking games that failed to deliver" fits Monopoly exactly - I have never disputed that it is a beautifully designed game and that it looks great, and indeed that it is very popular with punters, but I think the hit rate in terms of decent prizes is far too low for it to deliver what I am looking for in a game.
Toss the Monkey on the other hand looked garbage from the first time I saw it!
