Playing DOND on an itbox, I was presented with the same question in a row a grand total of 7 times. Quite unusual behaviour IMO.

Perhaps it just really wanted to pay out, considering it gave a 14 quid deal for a tenner in my box.

Are you sure that was an ItBox? There is a known bug on one of the other cabinets (the Open I think) on DOND which works in the player's favour for once in that you do get strings of repeated questions, although to be fair this doesn't happen straight away so it isn't something that anyone could exploit - you usually have to get through two or three points rounds before it starts cropping up.

Probably works for everyone else, but if I click on Page 14 (the latest), or read page 13, and press Next to go to page 14 it comes up with an error message about no posts existing for this topic.

BigEd - I've noticed that too - it seems to do it when someone has 'just' posted in a topic that takes it over the 20-per-page limit.

Plus, I also find it not too wise to throw anything about in a glass house.

the reason it does this (and yes, it is annoying) is that members who made a post in the early days have deleted their accounts so it screws up the page count. don't think there is anything we can do about it, sorry.

Just a suggestion, but recalculate the number of posts based upon valid accounts within the thread ? It's trivial to account for orphaned objects within a fairly simple DB like the one that powers this site.

Or was that "we can't do anything" due to no-one wanting to get their hands dirty in the php code ?
