C435A coin mech

Just took on someones Barcrest Club Calamari on MPU4 tech. Having probs with the coin mech. Accepts all coins bar £1. Cleaned out thoroughly and now it accepts one £1 out of 5 but sometimes the machine alarms saying "mars mech alarm"
Anyone any ideas - or should I just try and get a replacement.
Anyone got one??

Just noticed that this mob sells them for £30.

Yeah - too much I think. Somebody on Ebay was going to do me one for £9.99 total.

I`ve just scrapped the machine though - too many alarms going off and the machine dying at times.

Lots of spares if anybody`s needing!
