Red Hot Roll

Have a problem with a red hot roll, when the machine has been on for a few hours, on the alpa display is says 12 volts and locks up and wont pay out money etc, still do it if you reset machine.

after leaving it of for a few hours, machine then works ok.

Agree with that,
Is it Barcrest MPU 4?
Check the power output plug on the power supply for overheating and burning.This overheating can also desolder the connecting pins on the board to the plug.
The capacitors in the PSU may need replacing if no work has been carried out on it for some time.

its a mpu5 board and ive now been told it says 24 volts and the only way to clear the problem is to reset the machine with the door open, and then close door and machine will then payout.
