Monster Cash

Post by ROSSKEEN »

Ok, a (relative) oldie these days, but is anyone having any joy with this?

Started playing it again recently and have to say I'm well up on it in various locations.

Never had that elusive £20 cash key though.....

i still play this if i'm in an itbox pub. given that it has survived so long it must have some admirers. very cutesy and very silly which appeals to klutzes. i doubt that anyone who is serious about winning plays it. as you say, it is fairly easy to win £2 or £4 but the £20 key is suspiciously elusive.
nobody ever wins on those things.

Gracious, I played this a few times early on and never won a bean on it, so gave it up. Maybe I should revisit given the success Ross has been having on it...

I've had the £5 bonus for 6 monsters on numerous occasions now.

Mind you I am playing an Itbox on a secluded caravan park, full of pikeys that a mate is a manager of.

So it gets filled up regularly.

With you as an obvious exception Ross, this is exactly the sort of game that appeals to those punters who have the least chance of winning anything, like that old bagatelle-style Goldenballs game which is so mystifyingly popular at White Swan Dave's pub. Lots of pretty pictures and little games to play but so tight that, unless you can find one in a setting such as yours (where I imagine a lot of the games might be more promising than usual), it is of very little interest to more serious players.

Whilst you are right Mi NS I guess from the POV of the manufacturer/ operator/ programmer, their return is based purely on volume and therefore anything thts remotely entertaining and gets the dollars through is fine regardless of opportunity for financial reward. forn the player- as long as munters play it they get the return. What they dont want is short term distortions in the pay out percentage that render something so horific that no one plays it (gurus and jo public alike)- squeal

It's probably popular with punters because each game lasts for a while even if you're not very good and it gives the impression of being very close to paying out a few quid.

If I'm being honest - and with no pangs of guilt or shame whatsoever - I often go up and sit and drink for a few hours whilst literally hundreds of young kids (8 - 12, so not even a remote chance) fill it up.

Me and a mate then sit and either make a few quid from it or at least break even.

And the previous poster is spot on - I find the game relatively good value for my 50p if I'm killing time. I might not have a chance of winning (except in the aforementioned venue) but it definitely doesn't rile me up as much as getting a 60000+ target on DOND or a 20,000 target and then wiping out "the power 3" on my first few picks.

Circa two minutes a game, how much can you drink?
