Just been watching Would I Lie to You? I should of course not be doing this as it's predominantly poor, but in the round when some bloke off the street comes on and each of the panel claims him as their friend with some spurious reason why, Dave Spikey claimed that the bloke who walked on was his mate who earned £40k per year off quiz machines, and that he was nicknamed BEST because he lived off bacon, egg, sausage and tomato. Turned out not to be true, but it made me wonder if Spikey did have a mate who fitted that description, and if anybody knew who he might really be talking about. If anyone could shed some light I'd be interested.

Dave Spikey is well aware that there are people who can do this.

Isn't 'BESI' a known name on the circuit, on Word Up at least? Maybe he/she lives on a strict Bacon, Eggs, Sausages and Irn Bru diet...

I met Spikey years ago when I was trashing a machine. We had a conversation about my 'lifestyle' choices.

You're obviously memorable QM. Do you still subsist on the BEST diet then?

It was well back in the day when transport cafes were the order of the day at 7am.
I'm more of a natural yoghurt kind of guy these days.

Did you want some celery sticks and felafel to go with that?
