I have no wisdom to share on WU/WS, but can I just say to Istenem - your profile pic is absolutely first class.

don't want to spoil istenem's fun TOO much, but mr 80's pop here believes it to be the head of Lionel Rchie modelled by the blind girl in the video for "Hello".

Number one for 6 weeks in the anxious summer of '84.

It definitely is. One of the most unintentionally hilarious things (let alone videos) of all time.

yes Pike and Grecian, you are quite right. i find it amusing because:
a. the bust is so unutterably dreadful it can only have been crafted by a blind person.
b. old lionel being considered a muse.
c. every bloke in the video has a daft stosh.
d. it recognises that drama teachers are perverted predators. (and probably spanish too.)
e. lionel obviously missed the point by an ucking mile and the director is taking the piss.
f. he has the charisma of your average pond.
g. all of the above.

the next one might be bruce grobbelaar rapping.
nobody ever wins on those things.

The best bit is surely that great line "Mr Reynolds ... there's something going on in the sculpture class ... I think you ought to check it out". Makes me piss myself every time.

On the subject of all things avatar, I must congratulate Grecian on Exeter City's fine performance in the play-off semi at Torquay, t'other night - well done!

I can take no credit Nixxy, but thanks for the good wishes. I'll be ordering my Wembley tickets (for the second year running) sharpish.

I have to dash off after the play-off final to see a gig (plus I'll have my dad in tow), otherwise I'd suggest a meet-up after the game!

Hell yeahhhhhhhhh! We're going to Wem-ber-ley! :D :D :D 8)

Can't wait. Really hoping we can do it, though its going to be a very hard game no doubt. Only annoying thing is tickets are going to end up costing about £40 each - shocking! :x

Hmmmmmmm

"Are you somewhere feeling lonely, or is lonely feeling you"

seems to be coming back to me as a schoolboy giggle of the day.

poor lionel.

Pike, who was at his most savage and rapacious today.
