Think I stumbled across the very same today at lunch, Hornby. I was very disappointed when the pub in question replaced its Fatbox with a Paragon, so the new installation of the Worst Games Menu In The World adds insult to injury. Some of the games on there - that buried treasure one and the snooker one come to mind - are ridiculously unfair. If anyone's ever won anything from them, I'd be interested to hear about it.

I was drinking with the landlady last night and she is getting it sorted- there is apparently some problem with the license/donglegrecian wrote:Think I stumbled across the very same today at lunch, Hornby. Amen to that, and Christmas just round the corner. Party punters won't be captured. My own self-interest of course, but sometimes I struggle to see any trace of common sense been shown by machine distributers.Nil Satis wrote:truly the worst set of games I've ever seen in one place.

If money doesn't go in, there's none to take out.
I wouldn't see it as a particular concern myself. I've not seen Paragons replacing ItBoxes. Just because Paragons are a bit lean at the moment I see no reason why they shouldn't return to form. There's certainly been points in the last couple of years when I think Paragons have been the cabinet most worth playing, and with the right games choices that could easily become reality again. I agree though that it's baffling that that terrible Games Warehouse selection is still defiling certain venues.

As a cheery aside, a Paragon has been displaying the 'invalid dongle' overlay message in one of my locals for two weeks now - the credit (at last check - Friday evening) was up to £31 where punters pop in a pound without even looking at the screen!!there is apparently some problem with the license/dongle
I tried to check when the engineer was 'popping in', so as I could be halfway through a pint, leisurely leaning against the said machine as he 'fixes' it...

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
