full time / part time ???

Post by rookie »

so what finally made you full time players go full time and risk giving up jobs/careers ??
Is it money ??? Freedom ??? the challenge ???
I have made good money in the last year playing a few hours a week and have made very good connections with some top players. I get good info and have a number of good locations. I make in a few hours a week what many people would consider a good wage but dont have to rely on it .
So the question I'm contemplating is .... do I or don't I ??!!!

easy answer: don't.

but if you do, also take up smoking, expensive whores, FOBT and crystal meth.
nobody ever wins on those things.

I think you just need to think it out. Think about your future, ties, lifestyle etc. Lots of different things just make sure you pick the best one. Iv had a step back lately leaving things longer etc. Good luck what ever you do!

Each person is different. And so is playing lifestyles.

Some people like the freedom, others like a guaranteed wage.

Some players like travelling, others like home comforts.

Just work out what you want to do.

As for me, I graduated, whilst applying for jobs played full time and quickly realised there was no point applying for a 20k a year graduate position in London when I was earning far more playing fruits. Gave myself six months and never looked back. I wouldn't have another job unless I got paid an obscene sum though I would like my own businesses.
Bored of the grind.
