Drivers wage
Couple of questions for spyder. If the "balance sheet" doesnt show a yearly profit how are there any full time players? Also if redlinesman is not making money how does he pay his driver?

What a shame, back to job centre and factory work for some of you then.
BLOOPETY! BLEEEPITY! BLARPITY! BLOOOP!
Have you seen that invisibility paint they use in Soho? A player looks through the window, can't see nothing, they move one. Clever that.
I actually invented that, yes me, the king of horse racing invented that. News on the wire, three numptys were spotted going around Soho today checking out the gay bars for fruits, they didn't find any, but did get a bit of a shafting in Euston Station.
BLOOOP!
This was not a JG edit by the way, I know I've written it so it looks like a JG edit, but BLOOOOOP this is the genuine words of the racing HORSE KING.
BLEEP!

Doom and gloom mongers have been about for years, and will be about for years. We've had this tons of times after each era of machines, and time and time again it's been fine. The game only dies for lazy and untalented players, which I'm pleased about, you can crawl back under your rock.
As for players being millionaires, I'd be hugely surprised if there were many, if any. Unless a player won the lottery. When you remove living expenses (and many are very extravagant in this regard), I'd be very surprised if any players are millionaires solely based on AWP/SWP income, if you add house equity and savings up together.

Bored of the grind.

i didnt say your balance sheets.. unless you are the "top boy pro's" i was talking about.. so touche to posting before you read the post properlyGlendale wrote:Couple of questions for spyder. ive been around watching over the last 10 or so years, managed to pick up a few of the tricks over the years.. and im fully aware what is possible and not possible..
the millionaire player you mentioning, if he is a millionaire, then i very much doubt that he made it soley from fruit machines, 1,000,000 straight cash profit after living expences from machines doesnt seem viable
yes, empties and methods and various info can make a lot of money.. but these claims are way, way over the top...
i personally know a "player" who gave up a few years ago, after making a very fair amount of cash, nice car, house paid for etc.. but, 1 million in cash after all this... i dont think is possible..
bottom line... to get the funds into the bank would be tricky enough..
more than £8,000 in cash one year into an account gets flagged to the police as possible money laundering, so £1,000,000 over even 10 years would be pretty damn difficult to explain.
and as for gloom mongers saying the game is up etc etc over the years..
ive been reading and posting on these sites longer than most people who read on them have even been old enough to play fruit machines,
ive won and ive lost and ive lost a bit more, but im not bitter about my losses, cause ive been able to afford them.. but every now and again, someone pops up with totally outrageous claims on either their own or someone elses income, it just makes me laugh...
a millionaire who plays fruitmachines, is an addict.. there is no reason for a millionaire to consort with the scum of society (sorry guys, but when you all turn into 60year old women who piss themselves while hammering the hold buttons while a barX is clocking up a win, thinking about how you all could have been millionaires, you'll know what i mean)
to get out of the £250 a day for a driver claim, you can simply tell me that you drink while you are playing, and dont want to get in trouble for drink driving??
because otherwise, im going to go down the route that, yes, you do play machines a lot, and you have a driver who drives you around to some machines, which you win on, then you pay him his cut, and after your bills you dont have enough money left to pay for driving lessons, so that either points towards knowing a few decenttricks, but then playing tripe when you're pissed and losing it all, a fobt addiction, casinos or coke.. or a mixture?
as for the millionaire, unless he bought houses with his winnings pre 1999 or won the lottery, or mum or dad is filthy rich.. its bullshit

I know a couple of very good players who have made an absolute mint in the game, but one still reckoned he could have made four times what he has now if he'd made his money work for him and invested it in the right places.
As for a pure fruit-millionaire? I'd very much doubt it.
For a start there's just not enough hours in the day to make the money required. There's always been those who say they're worth more than they actually are.

Someone must but in the top few people in the country to get the latest methods/empties/rips, so therefore i stand by my comment dickcheese x
For someone who has 20 years playing behind them i think its possible they have made some silly amounts of money, but like i said not banked, perhaps frittered away on the horses, roulette, pissed up the wall and the price of living.

You have missed one serious aspect, time changes the appriciation of money and you tell me if £120 40 years ago was possible to make in a day? because I can assure you that it wouldn't, you're probally talking about £40 maximum in todays society." wrote:A million isn't that much over a playing career of 35 years, just an average of 120 per day, five days a week, with four weeks holiday a year.
You could start as a teenager and retire by 50.

Really funny some of the comments and most of them are down to lack of knowledge and degree of naivety. One thing that bemuses me is the way spyder tars everyone with the same brush. On one hand I sort of the agree that generally, most players are mere scum with little scope to do anything else. They are chasing quick money, and are probably not capable of operating in society - a bit like criminals in this respect. However, there are some players and posters on this board, who are capable and will have a future beyond fruit machines. Those who currently have a job now and play part time and those that are educated obviously have the potential to carve out a new existance, and make it a sucess. One things for sure, don't presume every player is a pot smoking no mark who will rot in the arcade.
Back to the millionaire issue. In life it is often easily to dismiss something or deny it, especially when you know little on the subject. I remember when I came on the scene, and my inital reaction to certain things was 'that can't be true' and 'it must be bullshit' I now look back and realise how naive I was, a bit like spyder. Because in my world, in my mind, these things wearn't possible so the easiest thing to do was dismiss it and say it can't be true. My story is I got lucky, I had someone close to me who gave me a leg up and the rest is modern history.
Is it possible to become a fruit machine millionaire? Here's my view. There is no doubt that some top tree players have been making 3000+ per week over the last few years and possibly a lot longer. Im not saying this figure was exactly that every week (in the last year it may have been a lot more) but this amount was regularly achieved. Certainly since hoppers went to 250 and probably since 2003 big money has been made. When your on an exclusive trick, you bide your time, bide a bit more time and then you decide to break loose and smash them, between 14-28 days smashing them + the build up that can be anything between 2 months and 1 year. It's major money. And don't forget the lesuire link lists back in the day, yes they were around - well come to think of it they wearn't except for in the hands that needed them. It was and still is like a military assult with devestating precision. Those of you who know, know exactly what im talking about. And the people who do know, your paying a good 'watcher' decent money.
There are a few fruit players who have made their million from the fruits. I know it because I've seen it and have first hand knowledge. Im not saying every single penny was earned that way, but the the overwhelming majority was. As for the game dying, maybe it will, maybe it won't but don't forget there was one time that the wolf did arrive.

You know redlinesman, I was feeling a bit silly as per usual and I was going to litter your post with a few moderatory added BLOOPS, but it was so lucidly written and well thought out, that I'll let it stand unbutchered.
It really is about proper top boy super secret connected super duper top boy super dupers and what they know. The watchers are there to stop snoops like me, snooping out the emptiers.
One of the reasons I was often reluctant to introduce myself to other players, was then, you make a name for yourself.
Let me tell you that today, myself and some accomplices have seen top boys in action.
We went to one services to empty a Double Deal or no Deal using the top secret emptier of switching the stakes during dial up dosh. Basically it lets you switch stake, so you gamble once, switch stake and then you'll always get a higher offer as it thinks it is the first time you have pressed no deal. Do that until jackpot and then go back in, they reflex such that you'll get it back before a £70 goes back in, but only off the reflex phone board. So anyway we were doing that emptier, which must be kept secret.
In this time, a random foreign looking guy walks in and plays a Rainbow Riches. £1 in £500, then it went on a leprechaun streak. He knew exactly when to walk. Proper top boy material.
I was also shown the method for playing Electrocoins. It goes like this. You put in £2. Then you go "No it's not...no, not seen one yet.....no too many tens" and then you get off it. That is how you play Electrocoins. Not sure if it works on Magic 7s.
We moved on to the next services where I played some sort of Extreme, might have been a Doctors and Nurses. Anyway made a quick £10er on that, when whilst Captain Discipline and Captain HiLo were buying zinger pinger winger minger binger klinger chinger burgers a friendly chap in glasses asked me, shoudl I play that one or that one?
Help I said, I have only just got here and I need 4 from 6 can I do it?
Anyway this top boy got pots from £20 for £500 and then let us win £35 on the next terminal which was good.....oh here's OB on Msn, got to go.....BLOOOP!
