I agree with McStreak. Fruit machines players should be just that, not some git who does the machines on top of a full or even part time job. Although I suppose if a full time player became part time player due to getting a job, it would be easier to destroy them and their seize control of their routes :)

I do more than just weekends Glendale but found it was impossible to do full-time without getting barred from most sites because I work in an area were the majority of pubs notice people too much in the day because most of the pubs are empty during working hours so in the long run it would cost me more than simply doing a short night shift as a nice fella who just enjoys a drink and a gamble after work.

vip however isn't and never has been a place for info giving and receiving ,,,,,,,,, its simply a place for sensible posters to get away from the hrk's of the main board

i agree it should be renamed to .

maybe , the nice lounge as you say ,,,,,,,,,, or the sensible room etc

If this is true, I would feel a little miffed at never receiving an invite, as I regard my posts to be sensible and balanced. However, the argument has come up before that the content is all important, e.g. I've been signed up here for the best part of 6 years, but only have a post count of 400 or so - some would say not eligible for such private forums - but that's because I rarely write mono-syllabic two word posts. If I have anything I really want to say, then that's when I write. It reflects my real life character where I prefer to talk lots one to one, or one to a small group, but tend to stay quiet in large groups where somebody of a more gregarious nature becomes the chat ring leader.
This doesn't stop me supporting Fruit Chat 100% by stopping by the site several times a day to check and read new posts - just because I choose not to post in every thread doesn't make me any less involved.

There must be loads that come here, read, digest any little bit of info, and leave keeping themselves to themselves rather than, as you say, post monosyllabic tosh (myself included at times). Doesn't make anyone better than others. As you say vociferous posters get the most attention. I believe it was Groucho Marx who said, "I don't care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members". :D There are only about eight moderators and vacancies rarely occur.

Maybe its just me, but I can honestly say I've not read a thing on here that's ever been of any use to me which is why I refuse to post anything that's of any use to anyone else. I just don't see why I should when I know for a fact it will end up costing me and my own contacts.

You should not be reading or posting anything of use in open forums anyway and if you do have info no-one has ever said you must share it with anyone, so keep it to yourself and don't moan about problems that don't exist!

I suppose that you have to read between the lines sometimes to glean small pieces of gen. Nothing too sensitive gets posted here, but is an ideal place to make contacts, if that is your aim. Would anyone with a modicum of knowledge want any advantage they have plastered on public fora for all to see which damages their income, especially in the current economic climate and the apparent crusade against pro players ? Information is highly dangerous in the wrong hands, as has been proved numerous tmes in the past.

Good punting.

I thought the way forward would be leak fake information.

Mug punters (ie the hundreds/thousands of googlers) would feed the playables as they tried to set up the rip, and then fail to exploit it - as obviously it didn't work.

It wouldn't fool any regular but would have a reasonable chance of fooling anyne visiting for the first time.

right lets set a few things straight

theres been a lot of talk , regarding the ''supposed'' shambles and state of the vip room

firstly let me re-iterate , that ,,,,,,,,, suddenly gaining vip status , will NOT open up to you any top level info ,,,,,,,, thats not what vip is about ,,,,,,, its just a room to escape from the constant immature idiots and tit for tat pointless slaging matches in here,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,, if your expecting anything more than relaxed coffee chat with other sensible members , you have been sadly miss-informed . ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

people are usually admitted by invite only ,,,,,,,,,, and i can understand the grievances by people such as kid gloves for example (who has indeed been here longer than me etc, and certainly warrants immediate long overdue entry in my mind )

so EVERYONE from now on , if you have any grievance of any kind about how we run fruitchat , or simply want to be admitted to vip , or have any questions or suggestions on how we can improve YOUR site ,,,,,,,,, then simply pm any of us mods ,,,,,,,, your suggestions/vip requests etc will be discussed first in the mod room , then you will be pm'd back with our answer/decision ( usually within a cpl of days or sooner)

lee.

ps , there are plans for a rename of the vip room shortly , to something less misleading

I don't blame you at all for feeling that way. I imagine some areas are getting overpopulated with players so everyone should consider where people are from before anything else. I seem to be miles away from everyone on here so I can't even make the meets let alone get mixed up on someone elses patch.
