sorry Peter, you are wrong. CL entry pays the club which enriches the league which in turn makes the league better. dunno which team you support but the £18 million (x four) also means about £3.5 million in revenue for each club in the premier league. this does filter down through the divisions; for example, when a non-league side gets a plum draw in the third round of the FA cup they get almost £1M in television revenue.
maybe an astute observation with the insane bit,as far as anal, extreme heat therapy and digit abuse..........if that's your cake ,then bake it.
liverpool are a fixture and fitting of the champions league/european cup.
i don't support them btw ,but will continue to wish them well in european competition.
Well if I tell you I am a Chelsea fan then you will understand why I hate anything scouse ..in fact anything in red !
I am quite sure our scouse colleague also feels the same about chelsea.
Its nothing personal ........ just blind hatred !

This is what's wrong with the modern game - too much attention is paid to the business end.
Give it ten years and, as has been mooted elsewhere recently, we will have a ring-fenced 12-team premier league, doubtless without even the draft system that the NFL has. Just the same over-hyped fannies playing each other game after game after game.
