Choons

Post by Cardinal Sin »

A couple of years ago, an ex-DJ went on Dragon's Den and got some cash to fund his rival to iTunes - the selling point that he had written software which would mix and 2 tunes (usually dance) together.

He claimed to have a patent, although from what I've been reading, it's a bit difficult to patent software.

Therefore, does anybody know of any software that would take a playlist of songs and play them - but instead of playing them sequentially, they would mix into each other?

I've had a good rummage on the net but it's a bit difficult that would definitely do it.

Any idea chaps?

Hmm, interesting. As you may have twigged from my moniker, I used to dabble in the old tumping toons. Sadly, not had the time to do so much 'production' recently.

I know of a lot of manual software, but nothing automatic. Will double up your Googlw efforts... ;)

Cheers old stocking.

The problem is that I don't know my arse from elbow when it comes to this sort of thing. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

just this minute been on mixalbum.com

as it says you buy the choons and then the software will mix them for you , there's gotta be a something you can download yourself ,just where? maybe even a free demo or a give away on a mag cover.

Whilst not strictly limited to mixing, this is a good site for checking out most types of music software.

a bit technical for me, almost all that stuff. just want something you feed mp3s in one end and superstar dj stuff squirts out the other.
