my favourite was, while at university, the A-board which read:

Woman, 84, dies
nobody ever wins on those things.

Ha, this should turn into a good thread!

Slightly off topic, but Istenem's post reminds me of a classic comedy moment from the brilliant 'Dad's Army'. Imagine Prt. Fraser rolling his eyes:

"I was reminded of the time when I was a wee-bit laddie, me and an old friend Jethro, heard of a huge ruby, out in the jungle. The ruby held a terrible, terrible curse. Anyone who removed the ruby from the idol would die. We hacked our way through the undergrowth, and there in front of us was a huge idol, with the ruby in it's forehead, the size of a ducks egg. We approached and then Jethro, hacked the ruby out of the idol with his penknife. As we turned to leave, suddenly, barring our way in the doorway, was the witch doctor! He gave us cream that turned our blood to ice, he shook a bunch of bones in Jethro's face and he cursed him!"

Pike: "Did the curse come true mister Fraser?"

Fraser: "Aye son it did... ...he died...

...last year, he was 86!"

Anyway, back on topic, here's my submission:

"And do you ever contradict yourself, Minister?" "Well, yes and no..."
