absolutely agree with you gary ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, if holidaying in another country

but if holidaying in the uk ,? thats pretty much impossible

picture it, your at the seaside having a pub meal with the mrs/fam its just cost you 20quid
theres a bandit in the corner that some average joe has just left showing.

we've spoke about this before on another thread, but i for one couldn't switch off the slotter inside, ide have to have it ,,,,,,, this has nothing to do with money, you could be minted, it becomes more than just money. you feel the calling, the hunger, call it what you want,,,,,,,,, you know your on holiday, but you also need the satisfaction of knowing that you've destroyed it before the next player turns up,,,,,,

i know im rabbiting on like an old woman but unless your going on holiday somewhere where theres no machines, its just impossible (for me anyways ) to truly truly truly switch off. thats why i have to holiday abroad, simply no willpower to turn down profits

Well i liked Vegas and sure ppl do go for the poss of spin to win a million but reality is the slots are a waste of space there to anyone apart from the casino.

But there is so much to see and do the slots dont really get much of a look in.

I'm in Florida struggling with 95 heat here the now. The weather channel had vegas at 106 yesterday. Must be unbearable!

I've never felt anything like it. it was 46/47' every day. Best way I could describe it is
Put your oven on full blast for 1 hour then open it with your face right over it. Thats what it feels like when the Auto doors open as your leaving the Air con Airport into the sun.

The missus and I are off to Vegas in July for two weeks. Already looking at the helicopter night flights over Vegas, Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam stuff, pony trekking up the desert ridges oh, and a tandem sky dive, might have to give that a go.

Gambling ?? Everything I DON'T do at home will come into force : i.e. have a set budget per day and when it's gone its gone. I won't mind the slots too much as I can take my lo tecs as good as my hi tecs. Some nice steady sessions on Black Jack and a few hours of tournament poker should keep the wallet from crash dieting too much, oh and I have got to learn the basics of craps before we go out.

Annoyances NOT to look forward to .. tipping, Jeez you tip almost everyone and sliding scales depending on what job they do/how well they have done it. It's so alien to us English to tip regularly, I mean 10-15 times a day. Sure we all leave a bit over after a good curry or whatever, but I'm not going to be comfortable with it until I have got the rates in my head right.

One guide mentions tipping the maid $5 a day, so over two weeks your looking at $70, £35 or thereabouts which I wouldn't dream of tipping in England.

So looking forward to it, gotta ride those white knucklers at the Stratosphere, the missus is going mental already at the pictures of the shopping complexes in the various 'resorts'.

Fook me, we are taking over $10,000 to spend and we already have a pact that the whole fooking lot is going to be caned on quality trips, shows, food and then gambling in that order.
