you'd think that there should be a law that they would have to have it in the safe. Similar to americas casino rules about having a minimum amount held on the premises.mr lugsy wrote:they put a poxy fortune 2000 lottery fruit in my social club on ticket payout . pile of sheeeeeite. no one liked it or indeed won on it anything worth having, god knows what would have happened if someone dropped it,they certainly wouldnt have had 2k laying about to payout.

True, but a lot of machines, especially ones with larger jackpots, already have the disclaimer "Malfunction voids all pays and plays". In an instance like this they could obviously argue that the machine has malfunctioned because it has drifted too far from its target percentage, or some other rubbish, and they wouldn't have to pay you.trayhop123 wrote:it simply wont happen due to future poss empties ,,,,,,,,, picture it ,,,, one of us fuckers sat on one since 9am ,, and at 11pm cashing in a ticket for 6grand

So if the tickets aren't legally binding in the event of an emptier, due to the disclaimer I quoted in my previous post, then why would the manus be concerned about the scenario you described?
Some of the original £500 section 16/21 machines had ticket only payout so why wouldn't this have been a worry to them then?
I do agree that it won't happen but it's more likely to be for reasons such as the hassle it would cause getting pubs to install new equipment such as ticket validators and the necessary training they'd need to give staff in how to use them. Not to mention additional costs to the already struggling distributors which would probably be passed down to the sites themselves.

Yeah obviously, but I was just referring to the 6K ticket example you were using.i know that doh, the clever slotters amongst us would take reasonable amounts and move on to another terminal
