New Gamesnet cabinet

Post by Nil Satis »

It was interesting to see a new Gamesnet cabinet on a brief lunchtime sortie. It's the same oval shape and size as the previous cabinet but the grey casing is now black but more relevantly it now has a note acceptor, which can be useful at times.

There were no new games on this particular cabinet - the only change seemed to be that the nice little bug on Top of the Pops had been fixed - but it's good to see that Gamestec (?) are investing in their cabinets - for me they have always been technically superior to ItBoxes and have often had a better set of games as well.

It's an identical games selection and an identical shape and size to the Gamesnet:

The only changes seem to be the colour of the casing and the new note acceptor. I think as they say if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck. Which means I was robbed of £3 by Deal or No Deal spoilers on ... a duck I suppose!

Fixed Odds Betting Terminals - the machines you see in bookies with roulette, poker and so on. They are I understand VERY lucrative for the bookies:

couldn't be arsed reading all the text, but this phrase leapt off the page at me...

>Quit while you’re ahead

so if you're behind, your only course of action is to keep playing until you're ahead!

Saw one of these today and it definitely seemed to have some new product / have dropped some previous product - no Caesar's Palace, for example. Nice looking cabinet though.

Has anyone seen the very flash new Paragon cabinet which I came across today? Apologies if it's been discussed elsewhere on here.
