I'm glad to see that i'm not the only one who likes Sub Zero!!!! Granted, Kings Ransom is an awful machine, but i've always liked Sub Zero. Always had good results on this, it blocks the third yeti like a bitch but apart from that its all right.
On a different note, i 'think' that Red may have introduced fake redding! Was sharking someone on Vortex this morning, he started with all the boards blue except one. For some reason, he kept going and ended up putting £50 through it (no wins collected). The red features slowly increased as you would expect and by the end he was getting ARB3 consistantly. He then just left so I jumped on, ARB1 first board. Died at £4.
Next board, ARB2. Died at £5.
Next board, all blue except one. Died on nudges.
Next Board, ARB1. Died at £10 (here we go i thought).
Next Board, ARB1. Died at £10.
Next Board, all blue except two.
Next board, all blue excect two.
Next board, all blue except one.
At this point i had put £20 through it and only had £15 left which i really couldnt risk losing, so i decided to take the super stop n step feature. (It's called something different though). Guess what that went for?
......£1!!!!! Was disgusted. :x Anyway, ended putting some more quid through it and just got blue boards. It's as if the machine had been hammered but 'dipped' halfway through and offered loads of red features! Whats all that about?!

streaky bacon?
some reds have been fake redding for a long time!! Also, many can have dips in redding during a happy period and even not offer a board for £20 when very ready. generally the longer they block for like this, the more they will go for though! should def have found the funds to press on! and is SSS went for a £1 that's your fault for stopping it there isnt it

Have they? I thought ARB1 = definite profit lol. I dont really play reds that much. I know you can win big, but they can also suck your life savings as well. Make enough from Games Media, Barcrest and (some) bellfruits so generally try to stay away from Reds.
Stop N Step wasn't true skill, should it have been? Never had Reds version of it before. I assumed it was a program bug as it only gave £1. Has anyone ever had this on a Vortex? I know there is a big long vortex thread but dont have the time to read through it all at the moment.

What probably happened is that you hit it with the £1 on before a big win. This is usually a £5 feature. Possible to hit £10 if on red but it doesn't let you step to a good win even on red.
Some reds can take a bit of money even when redding but at the end of the day you do make on them.
Reds are very profitable but rule number 1 before you play them for any force is don't attempt it with less than £100 on you. It's rare that you need this much unless you misread the signs but generally its about £30 - £50 stake and if it was redding from the start it's always £70+ return

Not true. You could have a tail end of a streak. Remember, remember, remember... all redding is telling you is that certain blocks are no longer in effect. It is _not_ telling you how many jackpots are in the machine.gambogaz1 wrote: and if it was redding from the start it's always £70+ return
however, if you play it, and it starts redding from nothing before, you can infer that you are most likely at the beginning of the streak.
Stumbled across a £35 Kings ransom on friday. Went £'s in with a mate to give it a good try. the 50p gave +6% but the safe cash being open straight away is a right tw*t.
It was £23 off so we went for it, end result
£42 in for a flat £35 top
£40 in for another flat £35 top
Back to AGB1 again so took a couple of features to leave it about a tenner down each. A very slow boring machine.
Also found a £35 Holey Moley that Kept taking a £ and giving no credits every £8-£10 then after putting £40 odd in it flashed up something on the LCD then reset itself.

I have seen and played a kings ransom once. That as in wales (a well covered part (Newport), but this was a really errrr local pub but was with local friends, prior to that i played the top gear, which happily went 1st board! Strangely enough the only machines i made on on my venture to wales were 3x top gear all absolutely flying, 2 in local pubs, 1 in airport and an unchipped magic games (obviously)
Anyway, back on topic. KR showed redness after around £20 in and that was that, twas a smooth force with a very small bankroll.
£40 in, managed a £25 safe cash win which really annoyed me at the time. Those where the early days when i did not fully understand reds and how they work etc, sure i wouldnt be pleased with it nowadays either but thats how it went.
Anyway, wasnt that much of a setback at all, took about £20 back in and went £50 from a 'red top feature', not the proper top but the one that goes slow at the top with repeat chance. And about £5 later i got a proper top, for a flat one. Toggles etc for afters nothing special, unfortunatly waiting for the cobra cabana across the way was a waste of time sat for hours waiting on a couple leaving it, ended up having to leave myself with family, irrelevant.
Anyway, i am yet to see a sub zero for whatever reason, i have saw and played FNC's, OAR's and much newer, but seems no one has taken a fancy to buying a sub zero so far.
Are they actually the same as jackpot genie and DD? I have always been fond of these, VERY easy cash in a location i had with 2 DD's, ready and redding every 3 days without fail, JJ was the best though back in the day
I often used the £20ish id made from the 5p machines to lift around £50ish generally. EVERY time i played that one it was red.
Came a long way since, but this isnt my life story so il leave it at that, time for bed!
