Alas no only the £10 as did not know the answer and would not have had time for another go had I guessed wronglygrecian wrote:I've been focusing on the local 54 ItBoxes Hornby so haven't darkened the Dev over the past week or so. Good work on timing your visit right - did you manage to JP Capers again? Good work anyway Hornby - you do play a mean game of CC I must say.
I agree with Sue's remarks that Joe Public is probably not likely to persist much with TIOLI. The first time I saw it (on a GamesNet, IIRC) I wrote it off very quickly on account of excessive slowness and it was only when I saw it on a test ItBox site a month or so back that I thought it *might* have potential. If an experienced player can't quickly see the point of a game, it's probably unlikely Joe Public will (and in the case of TIOLI Joe would be right, as the game isn't designed for the likes of him).

At least you got a question! Last week I played a game called (I think) 'Spend It Like Beckham'. There was an animated dice - my counter moved to a square which was the wrong one to go on and GAME OVER came up straight away!foxy wrote:fair points sue and grecian.
i had my most astonishing game today. 50p shot - no lives. 1st q correct.
first box - booby prize
second box - wait for it - booby prize. GAME OVER.
is this the worst quizzing experience ever? (obviously not)
still enjoying it generally though.

i would persevere sue de nom.
it's not easy to win at all but it is reasonably fair , unlike just about everything else.the cardinal may have struck early gold but i would guess he's now suffering the frustration of the agonizingly slow attempts to re-create his glory as i know i have frequently done.if this game went a bit quicker it would be amazing.

Probably to give the punters 'value' for money.
Everything seems to be getting longer lately, which is somewhat of an occupational hazard.
If I go into a pub and see somebody playing Take it or Leave It, Monopoly or Fantasy Football I leave. I haven't got time to be pissing around waiting.

Stupid punters. Telly all the week, screw the wife Saturday
On my trip round the City last night pillaging 54s I noticed two or three IBs without Take It Or Leave It. Both IBs did have Hell's Bells, Won In Sixty Seconds and Crossword Quiz, but they had some frog-related rubbish in the square where TIOLI should be. Anyone else see much of this? I'd hate to think they were considering withdrawing TIOLI already. Also, they had a game called Word Cube which I didn't play but may please some of our logomaniacal regulars.

Is it not possible the manufacturers would have read this board - seen it to be a winnable game for the pros and pulled it off straight away?grecian wrote:On my trip round the City last night pillaging 54s I noticed two or three IBs without Take It Or Leave It.
