What's Your Worst Pub Experience?

Post by sir ratholer »

I'll start off with a couple. I go in for a Vamp It Up in a small pub and the fruit is right in front of the bar. I am told it's fine in there before I go in. I get a beer and get slotting. I am £30 involved and get asked to leave (without collecting anything apart from collect prizes). I semi have it out with the landlord who proceeds to grab me and physically shove me out of the pub... Without me even winning one jackpot on the fruit!

Another time I was in a pub doing an Arcadia. This guy was sitting at the bar and sort of watching us and suddenly after another jackpot he goes behind the bar to get something and stands behind us! Needless to say we walked...

The last on I have for everyone is that I got barred from this pub for a couple of games. I sent my mate in who had one successful hit. Second hit, LL tried to turn the fruit off on him (6 shooter) just as it was about to give the streak. He hit the landlord, took the money and ran!

Probably a machine stopping accpeting coins once i was a good chunk into it, and the barman being less than willing to sort it out.

Also falling like a sack of shit when carrying some drinks comes close to the worst too.

Out with darren playing a good fruits 'u sir last year. Most of the lights on the cash are out, making toggle extremely awkward. We have 6 quid in the bank. Barman walks up, and switches the fruit off with a smirk. "I saw you put that machine into safe mode' and pointed to the 'safe cash' bit. You're barred. Looks like he must have just installed windows or something on his home PC... anyways, a heated argument ensued, with his barstaff muttering 'prick' at the manager, and the customers saying 'let them have their money back'. Police called, who actually sided with us and made the manager give us our 6 quid back, but every camera in Windsor followed us around town. Great.

£500 into a club sandwich forcing for the pot, i keyed it first and thought the balance was £300, but it wasnt backing for a further £320!

Anyway after about 5 hours of play the place closed for the night, i left £10 of credit in it and returned the next morning to find my credits gone and a healthy hopper balance of £200 (150 off)!, managed to scrape £100 back and get my £10 i had left in credit, thats about it.

Also about a year ago i had made a bank of around £70 in an unchipped VIU which alarmed when i went to collect, didnt have ID and never got the money.

How did you go £190 in a flash cash?!
