I can't remember seeing any fruits there, the prices they charge for everything at that place though can't imagine many people will be playing them.

Yep 10p/£5 'wallpaper' in every arcade - I went about 4 weeks ago for a day out. If you were that desperate you could probably pinch £50 a day in there quite easily. But with the arcades scattered all over the place, you'll be knackered by the end.

In the Oblivion Zone there was a small area in the arcade that had some £25 jackpot machines; a Fireball, Wombat and 2 or 3 others. They were switched off though, otherwise it would have been worth going.

There were two £25ers in the Grill place near the lake in the centre of the park. I was there about a year ago and they had DnP and some crappy Mazooma, however...

Bit off topic, but I didn't really rate Oblivion.. 14 Million and a LOT of secrecy for a one trick pony!

Continuing the OT theme:

Even though you are right that it is a one trick pony, the trick that it does is very intense, and I think it's the anticipation when you are going up and around to the drop that also adds to the thrill factor.

Rita is probably my choice ride at the moment, although it seems to break down daily... :(

We should arrange a FC day at Alton Towers... ;)

Continuing OT
Matt if you like Rita, go to Thorpe Park and have a go on Sleath .... blows Rita out of the water (especially if you can get on the front, well worth the extra 5 minutes).
Should be closer than AT for you.

I worked in the arcade at flamingo land last summer... had a nice range of £5 machines and a few £25 machines (who wants to be a legionnaire, austin powers etc) all at shitty percentages obv. It was always hilarious to that every day there'd always be one or two chavs who just spent the whole day in the arcades. LWV machines were worse!.
