1. ruin the m/c so it gets taken away - putting things down the coin slot works best
2. dont play it again
3. kick the guys head in after work
4. never go in there again to give them anymore of your money

It's just about learning the machine, and surely if the £25 was in fact £20, does that mean it's a £25 machine with £35 decals?!

Yeah the £25 jackpot doesn't have a £20 box, it's £15,£25,MS.

I can't think what happened there. When it opened the box after rejecting the final offer what did it show?

I can only think the decals had somehow slipped upwards and what looked like the £35 box was actually a £20 box.

Either way not much they can do about it. They could give you a fiver for goodwill and in fact probably would if it wasn't for the fact that they probably get umpteen junkies and doleites continually whinging on about what the machine should have given them.

Blame them, if everyone was squeaky honest you'd have got a fiver for goodwill. As it is, most operators it'll be case of wait until the engineer comes around to see if the machine is up. In your case it wouldn't necessarily be up.

If you owned a machine sited in a pub/arcade/bookies e.t.c. and someone came up to you and started saying this that and the other about how this feature hasn't paid up, how would you react?

Myself if you'd been playing the machine for a bit and you weren't an obvious chancer I'd give you the benefit of the doubt especially if the decals were wrongly displayed and give you a fiver for goodwill but many of the staff in big companies will have to play by the book.

No, i think hes saying only boxes LEFT in the game were 25 and another one, declined all and ended up with the box which was £20 which was not even left in the game.

Shit programming indeed.

oak is right i had the 2 pound box and the 25 pound box left banker offered 13.77 which i refused. it then gave me my box from behind the mirror. which should have been 25 pound but it only shows 20 pound which is what it gave..... the last 3 on the 35 jp are 25 35 m/s ( supposed to be anyway)

Why were you having a go at the pub manager - it's not his/her fault. Something we all accept is that fruit machines, SWPs et al DO go wrong from time to time - but if that makes you angry, you mustn't then go and take out your frustration on an innocent person.

You can't reasonably expect someone to give you money for something which is not their responsibility, can you?

nixxy if you read the thread he wasn't a PUB MANAGERcos it weren't in a PUB it was at a bookies and they can give you the money provided that they witness it. WHICH HE DID!!!!! and they then get the money back from the leisure company that they hire the machine from... ENOUGH SAID I THINK!!!!!!

My mistake - I should've said shop manager, not pub manager. Apologies.
