Uploading Mobile Phone Pix

Post by Nixxy »

Pictures (JPGs)/Videos (MP4s) on my Nokia N70 ... what's the best way to upload them onto my computer screen?

Do people just email them to themselves or are there loads of upload sites (some of which are undoubtedly better than others)

Pardon me for being a bit thick when it comes to this sort of thing! Any help or opinions would be gratefully received.

:)

Yeah most phones usually have a USB connection that plugs straight into your PC. If you then go to my computer, it should come up with a removable USB storage device or something similar. If not your phone should have come with a software package.

Once they are on your pc, you can host them somewhere like imageshack if you don't have your own webspace......and link straight to them from this site. 8)

I need a bluetooth dongle - the software that came with my phone (k800i) is shocking, and has never actually worked!

K800i - I'm having the same trouble as you mate. Shocking software - disconnects all the time, crashes your phone, all sorts of issues. :(

I have a w850i, which works perfectly with the usb cable, and some adobe uploaderr is a great bonus, but I also have a bluetooth dongle for uploading single photos etc quickly, and for the bluetooth remote to control the PC (and music) from the bed ;)

A dongle is the best option (you can use it to control your PC etc from your phone too 8) )

Just google a free mobile manager instead of using the SE one, they all come with the drivers etc (my 800i is the same :( )

Have to say i agree about the ericsson software being awful. I don't use it anyway, just plug it in and do it through drag and drop on the my computer extension. Miles quicker and easier!

Yeah, i never ever use th official software, thats true, just the cable and drivers that came with it, and the Adobe program i mentioned. And yeah, down load a bluetooth remote manager so you can manually assign commands to keys. I can even shut down/but my pc on stand-by from downstairs.
