wriggling thread

Post by Istenem »

have they always done that shrink/shake/grow thing?

incredibly poor description but i'm on about the icons for each thread within a forum. i know they go orange for new posts but i'd not noticed the other effect.
nobody ever wins on those things.

This thread itself will become a 'wriggler' after thirteen more posts.

I think.

Thought I'd try to work it out cos I'm bored :D

It would appear that every thread becomes a wriggler after 15 posts, regardless of whether:

· you have or haven't viewed it in the last 24 hours, or at all.
· it has been replied to after YOU have posted.
· it has been viewed a certain number of times

That should clear up all avenues of thought :)

Not that I expect this to receive thirteen (now twelve) posts.

Obviously....

"Wriggler's" begin at 15 posts - its simply a way of highlighting popular topics.
