Now then, would'nt it be nice to go abroad and have your holiday paid for!
Has anyone ever been to GIBRALTAR, a british colony off the coast of Spain?
The obvious reason for my question is "Do they have UKAWPs over there?
Anyone with any experiences of a holiday/gaming experience over there?

played a couple in Tenerife. dreadful! didn;t have a clue what I was doing either!
although it was nice to see they have chavs out there too.One very kindly started bashing the buttons for me when i obtained feature entry on one machine. Now if that had happened over here i would've been mad, but at the time I thought it very amusing and was obviously curious as to how much money my new friend would win for me.
seem to remember it was some kind of labyrinth type trail, funnily enough i landed on a square witha dragon on, the machine roared at me and i presume popped up with game over on the screen. My new friend then proceeded to say, and I quote, "fuck, fucking English, fuck, fuck, fuck" before staring at me and religiously hammering the now defunct buttons on the m/c. I presume he was asking for more money to put in so needless to say I didn't bother.(the guy was about 10 years old and no doubt had at least 23 brothers.......and one sister............who probably looked like a boy anyway!)
To sum up foreign machines I would say they are extremely confusing! although there are several success stories on here somewhere if you look for them.
And Jeff, you appear to have made a name for yourself on arcadia, must be nice to be famous!

i remember in holland a few years ago with some mates we went to this arcade place that had roullette n some awps. So were just having a little punt with some change and this guy comes over to us and puts like 2 euro in a machine and then places a business card inbetween the hold buttons, he then turns to me and says " Dont touch", i was like watever mate get the fuck.
Then i look around and see theres dozens of other machines with the same thing, a card on it and 2 euro inside.
Idont know what the point in this was or what he was doing, maybe waiting for someone to go on the machine and then he would take thier money or what i dunno. but quite strange so i just took my 40 euros i somehow won on a machinei couldnt understand and got out of there.
It wouldnt underestimate me if it was some scam as it wouldnt be the first time i have had a loca lthere try to scam me out of money for nothing. The other time being i was walking through dam square and 2 locals banged into me and said i made them drop what was in their pipe so was due them money but thats a whole new story .

jimmy i saw the same thing in amsterdam last year i think the business card or a half a match box is used to slide down the edge of the start button in order to get a AutoPlay sort of result as the card pushes the button down constantly, i believe that this is thier way of progressing a machine as they dont have features as such but lower and upper reels....looked bollocks and didnt even bother saved the cash for another J and a slice of outrageously overpriced pizza

No change there thenbigv038 wrote:they do have fruitys in spain, when i played them i didnt know what i was doingthings were flashing at me and i didnt know what they meant. pretty shite really imo

Sorry, couldn't resist

Serious note, i'm guessing if you could speak/read Spanish you'd probably do fine.

The machines in Holland(mainly barcrests)have to play out a gamble with 99.9%chance of winning a punt towards the top game.4 punts give you a spin up top.
Each play is 20c so 80c or maybe 1 euro gets you a spin at the top game. Some cost 10 euros for one spin!
Can be worth it though,I've frequently walkeed out with 2-300 euros more than I've gone in with.
The arcades give you playing cards, and punters jam these in the start button to make it play auto for the top game.
Don't remove these if the game is in play(certainly not in Amsterdam, lots of dodgy foreign types)but ok if the games have been played out
