GameBox?

Post by rocket »

Anyone seen these? I think thats what they're called - the logo is a blatant rip off of the PlayStation logo and its not got any of the games you usually find on the itBox's etc.

Just turned up in my local - seems pretty decent so far. Theres a bowling game called Strike which seems extremely easy to profit a couple of quid out of (so far!). Another called battleships which is good fun.....and then some drivel (corrie, cluedo etc) which is boring tbh. AND a 'Pepsi Chart Quiz' starring cheesy Foxy (that dj tit that was a judge on Pop Idol), that has pants gameplay but provides some highly amusing entertainment through Foxy.

Ooh, not seen that one, but just the other day I saw a wierd one - a huge 'widescreen' blue box type machine. I saw the games select screen and there were quite a few of the usuals there. Does anyone know what this is? It's literraly the size of a 32inch widescreen tv...

:)

rocket, gameboxes are pretty old, tend to be in freeheld pubs.
Matt, your cabinet sounds like an ind:e if it is blue, but it also sounds like a paragon 3i if it is widescreen :?

There's one of these in my local snooker centre, has pepsi chart quiz on it.

They're pretty old news these days, don't know of any others!

Is the battleships on this cabinet the one with pirates on it. I remember the skill game being pretty solid. Good fun though "Aaargh, that be a hit" and the like.

I was playing one of those machines the other day in Belfast - that Battleships game is really good - much better than the one usually found.

I also played Old Skool Cleudo and nabbed the bonus suspects for a fiver - the first time I've ever managed to do that!

Cardinal pops up again in Belfast shock!

Did you go back to the Superbowl (defying your lifetime ban)?

Yeah that battleships is pretty good - nice one on hitting the fiver as well! We've been trying for that, but no luck so far...

I was quite pushed for time so sadly, no. I wouldn't even have gone into this pub (just round the corner from City Hall, used to be Shenanigans many moons ago), had it not been for the machine winking at me seductively through the window as I walked past (the old style Millionaire cabinet).

Cheers! It almost made up for losing a ton on some gash puggie on the boat over.

Just in case you're interested, Belfast Superbowl is no more.

And congratulations on another hat-trick David!

Thanks for that.

Disappointing news about the Superbowl - I was hoping to call in on Wednesday before scoring another three against the Swedes!
