My current sumation of Reds:
X-Rated / Life's a Beach / DNA / Grub a Dub Dub
I 'personally' find these the best variety of Reds. They also require the most thought and knowledge to get the best out of them. I won't go into specifics about playing techniques and methods (I've discussed them elsewhere) - but my main tip is, don't always nudge in the highest win possible!
Tip of the day: 4+ shots is the best sign!
On A Roll / Jackpot Gems / Top Giza / Rocket Money
The older of this variety (TG / RM) are very easy to read (red features / speed of reels spins). Again, I'd 'personally' force these out if showing and offering good red features (there's plenty of threads detailing which red features are 'good'). The newer ones (OAR / JG) are much better if available on 50p / £25. On this play mode, I've always clawed out a good £40+ profit from forcing for the top. Again, look for the signs!
Tip of the day: If you want a quick return, MS & 50p is the only way to play!
Invincible / Stack Attack
These are more difficult to read and can rob from you for quite a while. Red feature 'boards' are more infrequent on these than other Reds and are not always indicative of the state of play. As again mentioned elsewhere, it might be worth while taking a Super Streak or Red feature if offered within the first £5 or so of play, else you may find yourself £60+ in before a MS will be offered; then you are hoping for the £75 and you'll only be a few quid up that you could've snared within that first fiver... ...And saved yourself the heart attack from putting that much in in the first place.
Tip of the day: Never bother with Extra Life from the slow down bonus! (Applies to quite a lot of Reds really!)
Legal Tender / Pulsation
These can be 'gits'! I've had a £110 top off of an LT before for £6 in, but that was a very rare occurence! The only way to guarantee a JP value top is to get all the features red. Even if all-bar-one of the top notes are red, you may still only get a tenner off the top.
Tip of the day: If you get consistent Red boards, go for the top, if not, but are offered red features, take 'em and build up a respectable bank. If you keep getting the green boards, run----->!
All a bit general, I know, but hope it helps!
