Word Cube is a mental challenge all of its own, such is the intensity of filthing required.
Bear in mind, you get best results in WC and TT if you not only filth at max speed, but get long words and plan for clearing while doing so. The best score on WC (6600ish) is not doable with base 3 letter word filthing.
All the filthy concentration is good training - I tried Brain Training on Nintendo DS last week and got the best possible grade first time. Quizzie games should be put on the NHS.

Took 4 quid out one of stansted's itboxes with a 1080. Usually get 950+ and win a quid or occasionally two on my first shot then it shuts down.Cardinal Richelieu wrote:Wahey. High score of 875. Which isn't exactly awe-inspiring, but I'm getting closer to the ton.
What's the most anyone's won out of this? My best is one shiny nugget, unsurprisngly.

In Word Up, your actions more often than not have a significant effect on what the other player(s) are trying to do (because when you enter a word, you move tiles around, or may take out tiles that your teammate(s) was/were planning to use in a big word etc.). So unless your teammate knows the game pretty well and you communicate well, they may well be a hindrance to getting a big score.
But in Boggle, the letter tiles don't move around, it's just a case of spotting as much as you can in the time available (ideally with at least one person concentrating on finding the longest words off the list). It's therefore hard to see how a teammate could hinder you more than they can help - even if they're rubbish and only spot 2 or 3 words that you wouldn't have got yourself.
That's why I think an extra player would have boosted my Boggle score, but why you'll never hear me complain that any of my WU scores would have been improved by a teammate (unless it was Andy or EWQ or someone!)

if ever i'm swping with friends they are banned from touching the screen on WU. however i invariably have to trade off a game of WU with one on wwtbam or some similar shite.
even with the very top players (i.e. us) i'd imagine that any more than two cooks would spoil the broth (excepting the Bobs who know each others' games intimately).
boggle is a different kettle of fish; many hands make light work on that one.
nobody ever wins on those things.
