Resetting NV10 Encryption key

Hi i have the Star Wars New Horizon £70 Barcrest machine MPU5 i have bought a NV10 for it and have followed the below instructions

The default encryption key will be set to the key code printed on the label
on the NV10. If the key is changed to a new stored key by the host
machine, the key can be reset to the default by the following the steps
below.
• Power off NV10.
• Set all 4 DIPswitches to the Up position.
• Apply power (no ccTalk comms).
• Red LED will now be flashing.
• Set DIP switches 1 and 2 down.
•
The code is now reset.

However i cannot get the red LED to start flashing which i assume means the key has not been reset which means i cannot pair the reader to my machine.

Any advise would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

are u sure its a c-c talk note acceptor?
remember to remove the game card while you are resetting key..

ok, did you attempt to reset n/a with the game card unplugged?

Hi yes I unplugged the game card. The instructions for the nv10 say it should reset with just power no comms just can't get the red light to come on
