I've recently joined a gym, about time I shifter a few pounds, but getting sick of waking up aching all over but hopefully my body will get used to it. Been a lazy cunt for too long now.

unfortunatly its something you are gunna have to get used to. iv been working out around 8 month and i still get muscle tight and soreness. some people hate it others like it because they know they are getting an effective workout. get good sleep, rest days and a high protein intake diet. Thats about as much as you can do to help yourself out.

thats from a weightlifting point of view, no matter what you are doing you should also warm up and cool down. all very basic but can make a big diffrence.

Could be iliotibial band syndrome. Worth googling. Stiff muscles and sore knees?

Aye no pain no gain, it killed me for a couple of months, but as soon as it subsides and you see the results it's all worth it
