Crazy Golf 2

Post by Nil Satis »

I spotted this last night on one of the large oval Gamesnets and all I can say is 'Ouch'! The boffins of Crap Games Central at Bell-Fruit have really excelled themselves this time. The only apparent changes are:

(a) a new colour scheme

(b) instead of answering 1 question per 'putt' you now have to answer 1, 2 or 3 on every question!

I don't know if there are any changes after the qualifying round as I didn't get close in four games. The holes were admittedly varying between 50 and 250 points (rather than all being stuck at 50) but the target each time was 1250 points and there was no apparent easing of the questions to go with the increased numbers needed, other than that some had 2 answers not 3. The holes are however identical in layout to the latest version of Crazy Golf, which means that you are often looking at 6-8 questions for a 50 point increase!

In other (unexciting) news, the same cabinet had the bizarre reappearance of 'Frog in a Liquidizer'.

If you get through the impossible golf holes and qualify, you get to play a shit version of DOND.

If you get to the end game of Coronation Street, you get to play a shit version of DOND.

To be fair to Bell Fruit, they've spent the last 5 years waiting for their designers to make a decent game, so now they've got one, I suppose they'll make about 20 versions of it.

Agreed. I think the DOND idea will get a right floggin'. Gamesnet boxes will be full of the same old copies as fast as you can say Noel Tidybeard!
