Scott would be the first to admit hes annoying! He hacks me off quite a bit at times but all round hes a good enough bloke! Countless calls and rantings would annoy most people but i do like him as a person in general! Its like yourself kesh, you rant and rage on here but whenever we have met i would say your a sound bloke!

Sorry to have got your back up Dixie. Surely the point is though that there is no such thing as community in a scenario where we are all playing for the same limited amount of money. You make me sound like I'm "having a word" in some rough and tumble fashion: all I'm saying is I wouldn't wanna give away stuff that other people have worked out, for nothing. How do you think the guy who initially worked out the ESB method feels when he goes to his local one and finds Steve on it? He might have invested a lot of time & money in working out how to play it, and in my opinion it's disrespectful to give that information away for nothing. Because you work (presumably) and you play machines casually, it's a difficult concept for you to grasp, but for some of us this is our livelihood. A similar idea would being involved in an industry, where something is invented overnight which renders it useless. Like when they figured out how to sex chicks (baby chickens) and the global price of eggs dropped overnight.

I'm not angry with the individual's mentioned here, with the obvious exception, but I wish people could try and understand that their actions have an impact on the economy surrounding fruits, and the individuals within. And whilst it's just a bit of fun for you, and something you don't take seriously, some of us have responsibilities and expectations which are still heavily tied in with this scene :-)

And I presume, Dixie666, that you will openly divulge anything you do know to all bar staff, locals, etc...before telling them you're more than happy for them to play it exactly how you describe immediately before you return?

Yes...there are plenty of machines to play. Plenty of them have things on them?! Great! Work them out! Then tell someone....

I'm sure I'll hear within hours.

As an education to you, and to anyone who has started playing in the last 5 or so years, it IS possible for there to be a trick in something and the whole country not know about it. There have been numerous difficult or very quiet empties that have lasted 3-4 years, and a maybe one that has gone 10 years +

Firstly - if I wasnt taking it seriously, why would I be gambling? Its not like I can afford to go waste hundreds......... so yes I take gambling seriously. Also no I do not openly divulge information to bar staff etc - I was in a pub in Wigan about 4 weeks ago and was playing "a" machine, and two lads came up to me saying "why didnt you do............" so I told them that the said machine was chipped. Does that mean I have given out information? No. I helped another player. ALSO my name is Dixie999 not 666 - thats the devil.

2 lads who you didn't know, who might have any level of knowledge on said machine asked you a generic question - and you replied it was chipped.

If they're not players then you're bringing them to the attention of different machine program's, and enlightening them to whatever you're doing.

If they are players, they are your competition, not your immediate friends. If you're in the same are, why not just cut the bullshit and just open your wallet and give them a wad?

someone created you (in a player respective) noels beard, does it really matter if x told y who created z

at the end of the day if theres more compition in your areas. beat then to units or branch out and find somewhere else

i speak to one or two in the mentioned areas and they seem to have no qualms in making money even given the fact they know more people are in direct competition with them, they just plod on do there thing and not venture into too many chain pubs

Ok. I appreciate your advice Feeder, thanks. To be honest though, the posts were intended to be sarcastic/ironic examples of how to remember that we're all playing for a finite amount of money, and this money must be contributed to by some people.

The more people you bring in the loop, the more people are taking out, and the fewer people are paying in. It's very much like the current pension situation in the country, if you wanted a topical comparison.

It's always a case of people defending their position. I'm not asking you to. Yes, we all started somewhere, fair enough. Just close the door behind you please, it's drafty.

Again, what I make/earn/expect is none of your business, but I can say that we have been riding the crest of a very profitable wave, and as the amount of playable machines shrinks, the less competent will struggle.
