I can't stick London myself. It's only 45 minutes on the train from here, or an hours drive....but it's so busy, dirty and noisy that it does my nut in. Clearly there's loads of pubs with it being so bloody big, but i wouldn't want to be there too much. Only really go for sports things at Wembley, music gigs dotted about and the same for comedy nights. Definitely much better living where I am. 8)

Cambrige is a really nice place. Normally stay at Rectory Farm - they do a good breakfast, no one ever seems to take any notice when you get a jackpot in Cambridge, makes a welcome change.

Lee, I don't think I can disagree more... I think London maybe one of these either Love it or hate it places, I see other people have noted they hate it too...

I hate going on tubes, overcrowded, hot, loads of walking, and I hate walking round London having to walk at a stupidly slow speed having to barge past people etc. it's my idea of a hellish day.... also the machines are generally all stone anyhow!

I used to HAVE to do it as I didnt't drive many years ago... I'd never dream of doing it again on public transport, no way!

I can bear it once in a while but its quite stressful. To pass the time I usually count the number of different nationalities present, and if you close your eyes its like being on holiday.

As a city I think London is very poor in contrast to other european cities I've been too...
