Used to do occasional trips to London using the Underground. Always ended up doing crap though. Only place we used to win was actually Ealing! Caesars in arcade, Battle Axe and Multi Nudge in other arcade, Beer Guide in Town House, Red Alert in high street pub and Hi Impact in a pub at the other end were good fruits we used to do well on.

The one you came to see was a worker along with many others I had in the area yes! Did you go back Vickers? Did you IOU it? You have to make sure you make good contacts who will play a straight game with you, which can be worth a machine if it pulls off. Sold the Z3 now, moved on to bigger and better things mate. 8)

They were chipped mate. both of 'em. Never came back. Only had a few working still by then in Middleton, Longsight & Colne + a few Take the Pieces which were late with their chip. Wish I had a full list then!

Going around on the tube in London is massive fruit machine pleasure. It makes a welcome change from driving, and sorts of breaks the year up for me. Do around 3-5 seperate month stints a year depending on what Im playing at that particular time. The working day often turns into a night out around Soho or Camden etc but have to be careful Im fit and ready for the next day.

Back in the day when I first starting playing fruits I ended up round Alex James from Blur's pad, can't remember exactly where it was but it was in or near covent garden. One of my best mates knew him from art college so we all went back for a party. There was quite a few semi-famous faces there, loads of booze and drugs, but I just stuck to the booze. My mate said quite a lot of people there were heavy into the their drugs and ended up in rehab and having nervous break downs and shit. Nothing too major for me these days though, but still take in a club now and again, its still good fun.

That London tube is a fucking nightmare man. :o ops: The girlfriend and I stayed at the travel lodge by the London Eye in mid week and I dreaded the tube. :o ops: Everyone piled in together :o ops: Mad busy :o ops: everyone in that city is just in a constant rush all the time, it knocked me sick. :o ops: After about the fifth journey in one day I told the gf to fuck rite off and that I would walk for miles rather than get back on that underground tube. :o ops: I think it took us about 40-50 minutes to get back to our hotel by foot. :|

If you know the underground well, it is a really efficent way of getting around. It's cheap and nothing can beat it for me. It may get busy at certain periods, but generally I have no problems because a lot of the time your only a few miunites. The only downside for me is I have a slight tendancy to pick up a cold or a bug when Im travelling on the tube which I otherwise don't normally get. The thing is with London, if you don't know it well, you can struggle. There's plenty of hidden gems around, even if your just playing normal everyday stuff. In October, there were 11 super holders in a fairly close proximity and the majority were fine every couple of days, even the ones which were blatantly obvious which I just couldn't understand. My girlfriend was with me so the expected barrings never came.

It was the first time I had ever been to London and I did not slot at all because it was a mini break for the two of us and it wouldn't have been fair. Unfortunately, I suffer panic attacks in small areas full of people which doesn't help! That city is also terrible for CCTV, it really was big brother on steroids!

Wrong place to be if your claustrophobic! You did the right thing, never slot on a break or a holiday with your other half because it simply is not fair.
