Has anybody noticed that most of our favourate fruit machines is either gone chipped or in a dodgy pub.
Do you think that this time next year we will all be playing D0ND'S,
I think the best thing to come out of those fruits was those Mega Deals sadly there is a chip for that too.
Lets hope, by next year the Jp will increase & there will be loads of new emptiers or methods.
I still think that the £70 jp is still the best jp we ever had, so long as there is a great way of playing them.
My favourate year would have to be 1999 the year that the £15 jp came out.
Lets hope 2012 will be a lucky one.

The higher the ratio of jackpot to price per play, the less amusemet there is to be had by Joe Public. £4.80 machines will never be improved on IMHO.

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but is this not just another pointless thread? What's the actual subject? How can anyone know if we'll be playing deals this time next year if we don't know if there'll be any by then (hopefully not)? Machines have always "become chipped" and as they get older always find their ways into dodgy pubs since they are downgraded to the catergory they can afford to hire. I just don't see a subject and its getting very tedious.

A good idea would be to review the licencing fees for lower prize machines.
It costs the same in duty for a £25JP as it does for a £70er.

This would suit a lot of smaller pubs which take less money as folk just can't afford to play the £70s.

nice idea but with our greedy goverment it aint gonna happen plus i doubt the likes of bellfruit barcrest would wanna release there machines on 25 again, and older machines wouldn't get a look in/cost more to maintain than a newer 70

Good point. There should be a bit of variation with the industry instead of just having the highest jackpot value across the board.

Is there a licence fee on £10 jackpot? Theres an arcade in Runcorn that has a Dial and a Duty Free on 10Jp lol. It gets more play than most machines in there lol!

As far as I'm aware, anything above a £5 JP would require a Cat C licence fee just the same same as a £70 JP.
