It's not really used that much to significant effect these days ,but with the jpts a bit lower the effect was more noticeable.
Bookies profiles would give more larger wins opposed to smaller ones
Pubs and arcades would basically be the other way round with a couple more subtle differences.
There used to be a bingo setting aswell that would drop most of it's percentage in a brief period then go on a long suck.most low tech plays like this anyway these days.
Some of the earlier donds used to have ,pub,bookies and arcade symbols on the glass yet only have a two way profile switch.
