Dear Sceptre / Machine floats

Post by kong »

An observation from last night for you, noted in a pub where one of your machines is sited.

An older chap (lets call him "Bill"), likes a bit of a go on the machine. In fact, Bill likes to play it for hours on end. He's your perfect punter, he endlessly collects and recycles small wins.

He started off with a few quid change from his beer, when that ran out he changed up a tenner at the bar. When that ran out he started putting £20s into the note acceptor on the machine. This went on for a couple of hours, during which time he has built up a nice bank, but ultimately cycled it all back down to nothing.

Off he wandered, had a sit down for half an hour, before coming back with another £20 note. However, and this bit is my fault, the note acceptor in the machine was no longer working. No change in the pub, no more play for Bill. He would have played it for a couple more hours, and there would have been another 3 £20s for your engineer to collect next week.

What went wrong? Earlier on yesterday, your engineer put £100 in coins in, not a penny more. I got a £20 win first board and out goes the light. Probably £99 in there now, but its cost you a customer for the night.

This goes on everywhere. Have you ever worked out just how much money these unusable machines are costing you?

problem is that ANY machine in a pub with a notey will always end up at the stage where it will be hovering around the notey off/on position. As soon as it comes on they will always use Notes then as sson as it goes off they will either, Play it ONLY with shrapnal (it must of been had coz the notey is not on) or they simply wont even play it (coz the notey is not on so must of paid)

Know of 3 machines now that have a notey that will stay on till £0 left in the hopper.

so now they simply just float em with £1 (the usuall  ) or untill the notey comes on
6 million ways to pie....choose 1

spose their prudence comes from the fact for every punter not playing due to there only being £100 in, another machine is getting done for the full £250.

The amount of machines that get floated with nothing these days is ridiculous.

And sceptre are not top of that league. Fuckwit-tec win hands down.

They(fuckwit-tec) also like to float non-note changer machines with fuck all aswell. Meaning they take an age before anything goes in the cash box. Still as long as they get their rent.

Cunts.

Pioneering entertainment? Fuck off.

Go in with 50ps and collect first win. Complain like fuck to the bar manager and say you are reporting them to licensing at local council.

Never had a problem with gamestec or sceptre on this score, but companies like ivor Thomas and capital coin float with far less than £100 regularly.

How about a call to the office of fair trading? Maybe reporting all those signs advertising win £210 (jackpot plus 2 repeats) whilst you're at it?
Bored of the grind.

You've never had a problem with fuckwit-tec for this? Are you serious? I know of several locations round my way, where on 'audit' day they'll float the machine with nothing!!!!

I hope they aren't telling the landlords there is £250/£350 in the machine.
