The term local

Post by ScottyNorth192 »

Just to put it straight to you meatheads who keep complaining about being local and getting bared.

The term local doesn't mean just living close it means being a regular visitor to the pub, someone who joins in karoke nights, pub quizes, gets to know the land lady/land lord on a personal basis.

ffs, get a grip some of you will ya!

Just to let you know "Meathead" that i did drink in my local and play pool for them but the jealous cow still barred me! Went in a pub last week and was told "regulars only" To which i replied " I am a regular, i do your machine every thursday"!
I am Glendale, much better than you!

Local is an adjective, that in this context relates to a community, restricted to the immediate area.

I'd say 'Regular' is the more accurate term...

North? Do one...

Meh, I've been barred from pubs owed by the same company I work for.
I've also been barred from pubs I play darts in. (I play in several leagues, county, super league etc) and still get barred if I win.

If I shoved £100 a time and lost, would they care?

Answers on a postcard.
Aww, how'd you feel?!

Had a session on the ol' Karaoke machine in Tiger Inn Cottingham. Some pubs just tend to have open mic nights now
