I went to a house party once where some bloke had got a Give us a Break in his lounge cos he thought it would be fun to have one and nick a few quid off all the students he's invited. For some reason, his plan failed........

Without a word of a lie, there used to be a quiz machine in the A&E waiting room at the Royal Preston Hospital! This is going back years so it would have been one of the early classics. I was never 'hard-faced' enough to go into A&E just to play the machine but a fellow quizzer called Craig would pop in occasionally, presumably wearing a fake bandage or two...

I went to the circus/funfair thing at my local park and they had the old Pot Black game. I won a fiver but it didn't pay out so the gipsy said leave your phone number. I didn't bother but I did spill my coke in lots of different places.

We have an anual fair in Hull, europes biggest travelling fair I believe. Not been for years but the machines were always "rigged" imo, and if you won you were very unlikey to be paid.

Airports can still throw up the odd gem, although they can sometimes be tantalisingly out of reach. On my way back through Gatwick South Terminal yesterday I spotted an old 50p JPM Millionaire in Arrivals, on which I managed to blow the £20 question :o ops: , and (through a glass wall) the old Monopoly standalone. This one was near Departure Gate 38 and is therefore likely to be all but inaccessible to anyone apart from bored punters so would surely prove ripe for picking if anyone happens to be flying out from there or nearby.
