Door Switch

Hi Have question regarding door switchers, I have a couple of broken one's The touble is the only one's I have got the spades are too large, any one has any thoughts what i could do to get the machine working, untill i get the right door swichers, the machine has 4 wires on the door swich loom

take the wires off the switches and put a piece of wire through the connectors and short them out,but you have to make sure what position the connections are when the door is open and shut, ie n/c and n/o connections,it will tell you on the side of the switch which connections are made

So I just need to short out the two wires to make the machine think its closed? as at the moment with the wires all off the machine thinks its open. shorting them out will this do any damage to the machine?

yes,just short the wires to make the machine think that the door is shut,we have some of our machines disconnected like this,there won't be any damage as the wires are all of the switch anyway
