How to - double 'Deal'-type games

Newbie alert, sorry :-)

I've only played one of the double Deals far, called "The Banker Rings Twice". I didn't get as far as the phones/DOND game, so I don't know the drill yet. I know how DOND works and I'm a fan of the Noel Edmunds game show, but can someone please explain double DOND to me?

2 seperate deal games play side by side. each with their own individual bankers offer dependant on what boxes have been eliminated.
Crucially though there is still only 1 box hidden behind the mirror so it stands to reason that the box has to stay lit on both games so you can work out what your box is pretty early.

Except for the new mega DOND which seems to have a shitty programme that loves to leave you with say 10p & £35 on both games.
