Kids In Pubs
Kids In Pubs
Listening in on the radio 5 live show this morning with the topic of should Kids under 16 be allowed in pubs. With everyone going on about the smoking ban being the main reason for pub closures it seems to me that it isn't the only factor that pubs are closing. When i go out for a drink i try to avoid the places that kids are present and funnily enough these place don't seem to close.

i dont really care if there in pubs .
just annoying when they come over to press buttons , and the lowlife jeremy kyle fed parents do nothing .
and when you politely ask the child to please dont touch the machine , the pissed up twat parents give you a funny look , or start shit up

That's the problem, not the kids themselves. I've got 4 kids, and I reguarly take my 11 year old lad with me on a Sunday watch the football.trayhop123 wrote: just annoying when they come over to press buttons , and the lowlife jeremy kyle fed parents do nothing .
On the rare occassion the others are in a pub it usually at a wacky warehouse pub or out in the beer garden.
in and around the bar is no place for kids, it's not fair on the kids who are bored and it sure isn't fair on the blokes who want a peaceful pint of ale and swear to their hearts content about the goverment

But I've never let my kids run about unless in my local were people know them, I don't want kids screaming and getting in my way when I'm out so I don't expect others to put up with mine.

My mate in Halifax used to moan like hell about kids in pubs with all the screaming and piss-arsing around, but now he has twins ( I rather thoughtfully refer to them as Stop 'n Step ), he's completely changed his attitude towards them and says they should be allowed in all pubs.
Personally I think there should be one of those "This high to ride" type restrictions that you have in theme parks before they're allowed in.

The traditional British Pub is no place for children. Imagine if you were having a peaceful game of Final Fight with all the 10ps you had just won from DonD Gold. Suddenly someone's child presses 2 player up and starts picking up all the metal bars and knives and eating all the roast beef. That just wouldn't be on would it?
Even worse if they were actually better at the game than you and you kept having to put in your own 10ps whilst their pocket money got them all the way from the back alleys to the bosses mansion.
