Poker Hi Low Fruit Machine thing

Post by JustAnotherClone »

Hi was in Hooters  on Monday and saw a quiz style made by i Games Warehouse i think? It was in a Silver metal sort of Cab. Anyway it had 5 different games to play,

Blackjack - Simple game, if you win you then you get £1 and a chance to gamble up to £25. To gamble you have 5 cards flat down and just guess if the next card is red or black, if you lose the gamble you get nothing.

Hi/Low Cards - 18 odd cards set out and you choose if its going to be Hi or Low. Half way up the stack to start hitting the cash values.

Cash Falls - Remember the 2p nudgers? Well heres a computer one with 25p coins!

Fruit Machine - 25p spin not much to shout about.

Something too which i can't remember right now :? Anyway the point of the post is i think they can be forced. Twice now i have played just BJ and played all out for the £25 which it has done with £15-£20.

Anyone else seen/played these? What do you think of the machine?

I think I've seen a similar cabinet in one of my locals but as the games contain no elements of quizzing or most likely any skill, they aren't really my bag and that probably goes for most of the regulars on here.

For example the Blackjack game:
To gamble you have 5 cards flat down and just guess if the next card is red or black, if you lose the gamble you get nothing.
That for me is no different to betting on which of two raindrops reaches the bottom of a window first and then repeating the bet another four times, i.e. complete random chance (or worse in fact - with random chance you don't have a clever computer choosing if you win or not).

I saw one of these yesterday. I lost £20 before getting £15 back. I reckon it is pretty shit, every time I was gambling on a 3 it would give a 2. I know normal fruits do this but not every single time.
No wonder I drink!

Nil - i get what your saying, i just wasn't sure where to post it as its not really a fruitie either. I figured as it comes in a similar cab to quiz machines i'd stick it here.

TKA - i have had 3 successful goes now just playing solely jackpot and gambling everthing until the £25 comes. Just stick too blackjack, I find people stick £2-3 in and leave it so it fills up nicely.

Never seen one...

Allthouh i'm addicted to the Deal em machines you find in the seaside arcades... Not the Deal Em 2000 machines, they are just a waste of space.

Here's one to test someone....

Does anyone rememeber another HiLo/Pontoon machine from about 5/6 years ago...

The difference is that Pontoon wasn't the Jackpot, but about £1, and 777 was the JP.

Also when you won, you could gamble red or black upto the £5JP, and i think it had a wild west type theme.

I remember it because it was in whitby once, and obviously broken, as it was on about 200% payout, as i'd won £80 off it in a few hours, then i just never saw it since.

There was also one in olyimpia leisure in scarborough about 2/3 years ago if that helps anyone.
