Jpm Impact reel problem

Can someone tell me the problem when the reel spins freely when initialising but the red led goes off after and won't work during the board game,even on reel test it works fine but when it goes to the starting point the led turns off also?
Bit foxed on this one it has just appeared on me...

try cleaning sensor,if not replace reel,worst case mother board faulty

sorry nearly forgot check for lose wire or bad contact where wires connect to reel had this prob myself
