Here's one I heard recently, who were the only team to not lose a game at the 1974 World Cup?

Would say milla without looking up on internet. Quality celebration as well if I remember rightly.

Good statting, Isty.

I recall putting a tenner on Chilavert to score first at 33/1 in every Paraguay match at the '98 (I think) World Cup. Given that he was the designated penalty taker and often ventured upfield to take free-kicks, he represented good value. Sadly, he didn't score.

I'd be interested to know the Caps/Goals ratio for Jorge Campos of Mexico, too - seeing as he often played up front aswell as in goal for Mexico.

when i was checking my data i looked at campos too. evidently he never scored a goal in mexico's fluorescent shirt. although he got a fair few domestic goals.

Roger Milla is definately the oldest player to score at a world cup. Just watched a program on bbc3 about top 50 world cup shocks. Not sure if he's the eldest to have played. Milla was 42 years old
