Watched this on i-player whilst playing Rush Poker. I thought it was a pretty good job to be honest. At first couldn't get used to Del boy jnr being the leary one from in betweeners but either he got better as it went on or I got used to him. Also not 100% sure of Lyndhurst's hardman act, just didn't sit right for me, although that aside it was a good performance with nostalgic nods and I think they pitched it right in terms of humour/drama balance. Comedy Gold is I believe, partly good writing and partly serendipity. It's what differentiates 'That Peter Kay thing' at the services/bingo etc as rather average, from Phoenix Nights, which was comedy gold for example. Same writer, different hues and you've struck gold. So like Freddy Robdal, they took the safer route, going for pure comedy would have been so much more likely to fail in the future shadow of OFAH.
