A theatre bar many years ago. Been told it had an Adders and Ladders. 4 games, 4 tenners. Told "You're very good at this and I can't afford to let you play it". Having rather unwisely replied "I used to be better", machine goes off (luckily I had collected) and somehow the switch off blows the bar fuses. 15 mins tops, hilarious.

For a good few months actually, but I'm always sooted and booted and have been in and out for the last 10 years....never had any fire there...nor the JDW in the Hi Lo days...the pub round the back of the Cluey is more on top these days but they've had nowt for ages and that wine bar type place in the square is the only place I've had a plugging despite suit and 3xJDW's before playing.

Yeh, that cafe bar is run by a complete knob. He is one of these people, that doesnt understand why a fruit machine even needs a hopper.

Been barred from there 3 times (70 cluedo being the 3rd). I was told to "finish up and leave", but decided to leave and finish my beer walking down the road instead hoping to bump into a plod so I could explain where I got my takeaway beer from.
