Nah course not, i'm an avid fan....got all their albums, brought them all as soon as they came out barring Parachutes which i got after 'Yellow' i reckon....probably what got me hooked. 'Don't Panic' & 'Shiver' are my 2 faves off that disc!steveseagull wrote:Sorry matt, but they were pretty much the biggest band in the world before you saw them last week.
I couldnt get tickets for a reasonable price and you have just bought X&Y after viewing them? What about A Rush Of Blood To The Head or Parachutes?
Frustrated but i hope you had an excellent time.
How were Girls Aloud? You have to admit it sounds like a stunning support act.![]()
I've just got those 3 in as the VLV show at Wembley played all tracks off the VLV album barring 'Yes', 4 tracks off Prospekts March (Life In Technicolour ii, Lost!+ with Jay-Z, Glass Of Water, Lovers In Japan osaka mix]), plus i'm quite fond of X & Y.
Had to wait 11 months to see this too, paid £70 a ticket immediately on their release in late '08 but it was worth every penny. Nothing will come close now unless i see them again! :x

Ok so some regard pro-playing as work, some don't.
Fair enough.
I, however do to a certain extent, so long as you are using this "work" to achieve something and not just to get funds to fuel other vices like casino, roulette, drugs or drink etc.
I have worked since I left school and regard my quiz playing a means to "earn" for myself.
By the way, I like most rock and indie music but can't stand grunge.

Machines are 100% work if you apply the right attitude to them. I definitely consider playing fruits to be a job and show the needed organisation and motivation as if I was self employed in another industry. I drive a minimum of 100 miles a day on average and do a long day of graft when I go out so what difference is this to a job in, for example, sales, which my brother does?
Many dubious statements from jpfuk on this thread, particularly the one about poker players...if you think the top poker players can win a few million that easily you are living in cloud cuckoo land. Knowing several high stakes players personally, and having played online poker for a living myself, I can assure you that this is not the case.
Most poker players, even at the top level are not necessarily even winning players - but are sustained because they are famous (hence have sponsorship/their own poker site/media deals/are staked) through winning one or more high profile event despite not even being that good. Not only this but they go through huge swings where even a world class player can perhaps be a few million or even more down over a month, especially playing Pot Limit Omaha. If you don't believe me, check out http://www.pokertableratings.com/ on a regular basis, this site tracks all the main sites.
As for music, it's dance stuff usually in my car, though when I'm chilled I'm quite partial to a bit of Magic on the radio too...

Who is the blond chap with the stubble and leather jacket? Often hangs around Mr. B's arcade or whatever its called. Has been known to visit New York and Electric Avenue. His mate has longish hair sometimes tied back in a pony tail.

That would be Nigel and fish... They both live in the Liberty Bell, now called the bourough hotel, next to Clarkies chip shop.....
N just for the record, I don't " hang " anround B's, i worked there 11 years as head technition......
Before kids came along and I acctualy realised there was more to life than flashing lights and wankers cramp feeding coins into a slot....
Not even called B's any more, John Remblance who owns sunspot bought it and knocked the 2 arcades into 1.....
